October frolicking

I went to Burnie and a trip around the North West of Tassie on my own for a free concert Triple J put on Saturday night. As it's 4 hours drive from Hobart, I decided to spend the weekend and visited a few of the local attractions. Wynyard had their annual tulip festival, so I decided to go for a tip-toe.

I headed out to Dismal Swamp, a blackwood sinkhole preserved by Forestry Tasmania. The weather was cold, wet and windy, in keeping with the name. You could walk through the swamp on walkways, and artists had inserted their flair in areas throughout the walk.

I spent a night in Stanley, which has a geographical attraction called 'The Nut', a volanic shell filled with basalt - similar to Table Cape, where the tulip farm is. You can get a chairlift up & down, but being the intrepid adventurer I am, I climbed the steep incline and had a wander about Stanley's nut. I'm more used to seeing Stanley (my father), doing his nut. Tee hee....

The best way to finish a self-absorbent weekend is to gorge oneself. Cheers!

Betta Milk Ad

Mark and Biscuit recently starred in a Tasmanian milk ad. "Betta milk" keeping the good stuff in Tasmania. These are two of the 'officers' who were training new recruits, ie the cats, to sniff out people attempting to smuggle out our milk.

Canberra wedding in September

My cousin Matthew and (now) Belinda Connor got married in Canberra, prompting a Connor reunion.

Matthew and Belinda's wedding was the perfect opportunity to catch up with all of my 'little' cousins! The 'crazy' Connors!!

More of The crazy Connors!

A happy Trio!

We stopped over on our way back from WA - talk about 'love seat'!

September Perth wedding

Mark's quest for extra points in his "Walk around Antarctica" competition while we were on holidays. NB the weather didn't get much better...

"Wino's Tasmania" in Margaret River.

Hobartians ventured to the Eastern boarder for Grubby and Sharon's wedding in Fremantle, September. We enjoyed experiencing many of the local sites.

The "Burt St"gang!

Kathleen and Danni (friends from Townsville) put us up while we were in Freo. Had a grand time!!

Tayla and GG

Tayla had problems playing 'nice' with Georgia... Not to worry, they kissed and made up after the camera stopped rolling.

Nieces Tayla and Isabella

Mark and I travelled to Townsville for a week in August to celebrate Tayla and Isabella's Christening, not to mention mummy Katherines' 30th, Granny Cheryls' birthday and Isabellas' belated 1st birthday!

A packet of Biscuit

Biscuit says "hemeow!" She loves to have cuddles after mummy and daddy have played with her. Her nickname is 'feral Beryl' (it's OK granny). Her latest trick is to climb up onto the bench to discover what treats her mummy & daddy are trying to keep from her ever-hungry belly. Most of our treats now have Biscuit bites in them. She loves her sweets, Biscuit...

Goodbye until next time!

We had a lively evening out for Mark's birthday in May with his Dad, sister Deirdre and her husband, Ben. We attended a wine tasting followed by a liquid dinner (we did order food!).

Winter Frost

It has been mighty frosty the last week up in Valley St. Biscuit found that she needs little booties when venturing outside...

Biscuit

This is Biscuit.

She's my little lap warmer as Mark is currently on holidays in China with some Irish lads getting some Asian sensations.

Hello All!

As many around us have advanced into the new age of information sharing, I on Mark's behalf, thought that us too, needed to advance.
We look forward to sharing our adventures with you! ;>

Welcome to our blog!
